五百年 ago, the Monkey King Sun Wukong caused havoc in heaven and accidentally overturned the Eight-Trigram Furnace, bringing celestial fire to Earth. To save all living beings, Iron Fan Princess struggled to contain this heavenly flame; however, her son Hong Heshi was affected by the Threefold True Fire within the furnace and turned into an evil child. On the day of Iron Fan's millennium celebration, Hong Heshi had been searching for world treasures that could bring eternal peace to his mother. Learning that a pilgrimage team would pass through, he, incited by Blue Wolf Monster, planned to kidnap Tang Sanzang. As Hong Heshi fought against Sun Wukong fiercely, Blue Wolf Monster secretly trapped both inside the Eight-Trigram Furnace to seek revenge, due to family members being killed during the original fire centuries earlier. Surprisingly, not only did this scheme fail to achieve his vengeance but it also put the Huo Yun Village residents at risk from another fire hazard. Ultimately, Hong Heshi transformed into a gigantic fiery beast. Iron Fan revealed everything and spent her last ounce of spiritual energy to rescue everyone before taking out a holy drop given by Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. At this moment, Sun Wukong suddenly realized the truth of Buddhist teachings—that everything is a result of cause and effect—and understood that issues originated with himself. Consequently, he chose self-sacrifice, carrying the holy water towards the massive flaming creature.。
