tonight, the forest encircles the village in silence. While everyone sleeps, the forest awakens. A young man from Krahô in northern Brazil named Ihjãc has been tormented by nightmares since his father's passing, trembling and drenched with sweat through the night. Suddenly, a melody floats through the palm trees—his deceased father calling him back home. To ease the spirits of the departed and allow them to cross over into the afterlife, Ihjãc must take on the responsibility of organizing the funeral. However, unwilling to become a shaman, he opts to leave his tribe and hometown for city life, distancing himself from his ancestral culture and traditions. Yet as an indigenous person living in Brazil, Ihjãc still confronts complex and challenging circumstances.。
