A Berlin-based youth, Paul Woyt (played by Matthias Schweighöfer), holds a unique occupation: assisting couples seeking separation. He works as a professional breakup consultant for a firm that often dispatches him nationwide to address emotional entanglements. Despite disliking his role, Paul persists due to the promise of advancement upon completing one thousand separations within two years. Reluctantly, he performs these “breakup” services. Having faced numerous unpredictable responses from separating partners, Paul handles such situations well. However, his current case involves a particularly difficult individual—an emotionally complex man called Toti Kuelman (Milan Peschler)—making his task nearly impossible. In the midst of turmoil, however, Paul meets his genuine love interest, Natalie (Catherine de Léan), prompting him to reassess both his career and personal life.。
